Eleven. Wow, that's one more than ten. It was my eleventh birthday yesterday. An eye-opening experience. Not really. I always thought that when it's your birthday you feel different, or something. The truth is, you don't change at all. I'm still the same old geeky, annoying, talkative self. No, I don't feel any more mature, and I still look the same. So what is the big deal about birthdays? It just means you're one year closer to dying, right? I'm just kidding. Anyway, here's a list of eleven things I've learnt over the years. 1. Do what you love. It doesn't matter if people judge. You might get criticized, you might get teased, but who cares? You know you love doing it, so keep on going. 2. Be yourself, because nobody pulls it off better than you. Really, being fake or acting like someone else never works better than just being who you are. 3. Live in the moment. Don't wait to do something you really want to. Life's too short to wait for tomorrow. Just do it, what's the worst that could happen? 4. Chill. Really, don't be so serious. Smile, laugh, jump, dance. Life's an amazing thing, if you really think about it. Embrace it. Don't be angry, don't hold grudges. There's this quote I really like: "Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die." So just let it go. 5. Love yourself. You underestimate and underrate yourself too much. If you wouldn't say the same things t your best friend, why would you tell it to yourself? 6. Be nice. Genuinely nice. When you're mean, even though it might look like you have friends, they might secretly despise you. Just be nice, it doesn't hurt, right? 7. Don't judge people. Talking behind people's backs and gossiping, spreading rumors and silently judging them is a horrible thing to do. Never judge someone until you've actually understood what their life is like. They might have a real reason for being how they are. 8. There's no such thing as karma. Don't expect that bad things are going to happen to people who were horrible to you. Life doesn't work that way, people make their own fates. Don't wait for good karma to come your way, go and make it. 9. People aren't fair. Life isn't a fairy tale. People will be cruel, rude, unfair, etc. to you for no reason at all, but just keep your head up and do not let it bother you. 10. You can't control everything As much as you might want to change people and their attitudes, it's not going to happen. You can't control everything, sometimes you have to just let fate have its way. 11. Books. Do I have to say more? When you need an escape from the outside world and its drama/problems, just get into a good book. You'll forget everything else.

If you don't know what karma is, your'e a nobody. What do you mean there's no karma? Religion calls for karma-- to do your duty and go in flow with the universe, in other words reaping what you sow.

Hi! The eighth point was just my opinion. I'm not saying that it was true, but it was one of my beliefs. I totally respect yours, I just don't agree with it.
