One flaming hot afternoon, I walked into an Ice Cream Parlour, licking my lips at the thought of that smooth, cold ice cream slipping down my tongue and quenching my thirst. The air conditioned room was a great relief to me, as I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.
I went up to the counter and stared at the millions of flavours just sitting there, waiting for me to eat them up. "I'll have Raspberry Delight. No, Chocolate Supreme sounds better. But just look at how heavenly Strawberry Vanilla twist looks. Mango Munch will obviously be better. Or should I try Mint Chocolate Chip? Maybe Butterscotch Caramel Crunch will be perfect. But Rainbow Swirl would be so awesome! I think I should just go for Blueberry Cream. But Banana Bite just looks scrumptious!" I said, trying to decide. The fat grumpy old man at the counter was getting really impatient, and so were the others in line. After having a taste of each of those flavours, I decided to settle for Violet Splash. It really was good, kind of like vanilla ice cream but with a hint of a sweet violet taste and completely purple with little chunks of chocolate in it. So I paid the man and walked out the door, happily. I was actually waiting for the bus, but that was when I realized, I had taken so long, that the bus and come and gone and I would have to wait for the next one, which would come 45 minutes later, So I stood there licking my ice cream. I walked to the Ice Cream parlour, simply to check the time, but I tripped on something and SPLAT! My Ice cream lay there on the side walk, and there was still 30 minutes until the next bus. And I didn't have any more money. So from now on, I'll always LOOK where I'm going. Hope you liked the post! Here's a challenge, I'll put one at the end of each post. Continue the short story, and make the whole thing only 70 words long. Three children were sitting by the river. One of them looks up at the sky and says, "I wish I could.... Now you finish it.

Hi guys! I just want to say thanks for reading my blog! I got 606 visitors this month, and as you read this, the numbers increase! I hope you guys love reading!
Let's get on with the topic then. Books rock. Seriously, books are amazing! They are like an open door to a new world when you just want to get awy from the real world. They let you escape into a new place where you are told a story that grasps you and makes you turn the pages until you reach the end. Well, for most books, because some books just make you WANT to put it down and find a better book. Hare a few recommendations: 'What Katy Did' By Susan Coolidge For Ages 8 and above Katy is a wild and fun girl who intends to do amazing things and be as good as an angel when she grows up, but for now, she is a wild tempered girl who has tangled hair, torn dresses and not at all 'good'. When a terrible tragedy occurs, Katy can't do all things she hoped to do, she can't do anything in fact, or can she? The Star of Kazan' By Eva Ibbotson For Ages 8 and above Annika is an orphan. She wants to find her family, know where she came from and meet her mother. When her aristocrat mother appears one day, Annika is more than pleased to go with her. But then secrets begin to unfold, and Annika doesn't know what to believe anymore. 'My Sister Jodie' By Jaqueline Wilson For Ages 9 and Above Pearl loves her sister Jodie. When the girls have to go to a fancy school when their parents get jobs there, everything is different. Pearl has found a friend with the same interests as her while Jodie doesn't quite fit in. Pearl can probably manage well without her sister for once. But when something terrible happens, that leaves everyone in tears, Pearl finds out that she always needed Jodie, and she always will. ike this by the same authors so don't forget to check them out and comment below if you know any other good books to read because I'm a real bookworm! What's up, readers? Here's a blog post for you guys to read... because that's what you do with blog posts. Read them. Anyway...
You must have a friend. Someone who you know you can count on and someone who knows they can count on you. That special person who can turn your frown upside down and stays by your side no matter what. Someone who's shoulder you can always cry on and someone who you can always laugh with. Someone who you might have endless quarrels with but you always make up in the end. Someone who comforts you, shares with you, cries with you, fights with you, giggles with you and is there for you. If you don't, you need a friend. But everyone has a friend, no matter their size, age, origins, etc. Everyone needs a friend. You are not human if you don't have a friend. So go tell that friend that they're amazing, or make up with them or spend some time with them. Because that'll just show them how much they mean to you I hope that wasn't too sad. Well, I'll see you when I post next time. Until then... Hi readers. I'm Ozzy, Ashreya's pet cat. Ashreya seems a bit tired, (She's asleep on the couch) so I decided I would take over. Today, you're going to read a blog post by me! Mew! Do you know how it feels to be a cat? It's fun, you get to curl up on the sofa and sleep all day! But when I'm feeling awake, I like to look at the things humans use. For example, the keyboard I'm typing on makes funny noises when I press the little buttons. Sometimes I watch Ashreya when she's typing on the keyboard. Another thing these funny humans use are printers. They make creepy noises and I sit by the printer and watch. Suddenly, this sheet of paper pops out, and I jump back in surprise. I wonder why humans use such scary things. They also watch TV. There are silly people on a big screen and humans laugh or cry while watching. I don't really get it, but I still watch when there are animals. I've seen humans read as well. They seem so interested in looking at books and newspapers so I come and sit on what they're looking at to get their attention. But they just angry at me so I shouldn't do that again! There are loads of more things humans use that are weird, but I should go, Ashreya is about to wake up. I could write a few more posts, My posts are obviously better than Ashreya's and... Ashreya: What on Earth? Ozzy: Gotta Go! PURRR! Hey guys! I know I haven't posted for a while because I've been busy. Guess what? I'm in 4th grade! That's right! I have finally moved up to 4th grade. It's been keeping me busy, so I haven't had time to post much. But I will try to post more from now on. Here's something about Back To School! (Even though it's a bit late!)
Have you packed your bags? It's finally time to go back to school after the long summer break. How did you feel when you went back to school? Sad? Excited? Nervous? Share it with me and dozens of other readers in the comment section below. P.S. Have you noticed the makeover I've given my blog? I thought it was time for a change and decided to try something new! Tell me what you think in the comments below. |
