If you've thought about starting a blog, great! You can click on this link to read a post for 6 simple tips to start out on blogging. Most blogs usually have a niche. Mine is mostly lifestyle, and a lifestyle blogger is someone who blogs about pretty much anything and everything. If you are having trouble trying to figure out what topic/niche you want to write about, just take this quiz.
What do you like to do on a weekend night?
What describes you best?
What is your style? (In terms of your room, your clothes, etc.)
Why do people come to you for advice?
What do you do when there’s a problem?
What is your favourite website?
What would you do with 1 billion dollars?
Mostly A: Craft Blog You’re creative and inventive, and love making simple crafts, from DIY decorations to food to art. You have swift, nimble hands and can do most things like sewing, drawing, painting, etc. Write a craft blog so you can share how you make your favourite creations, projects you want to try, and more things for other people who are as artistic as you. Mostly B: Travel Blog You have a dream a passion for adventure. You love trying new things, going new places, and aren’t afraid to take a few risks. You should most definitely write a travel blog.. You could share your experiences while exploring the world, post pictures and review hotels and restaurants. Your blog would be perfect for people who have a thirst for danger and thrill. Mostly C: Lifestyle Blog You are the go-with-the flow sort of person. You have a wide circle of friends and love reading blogs or exploring the internet. Everyone might say you have great advice, amusing experiences, good taste and know a lot of things. Starting a lifestyle blog is basically blogging about everything and anything, including your own real-life stories, which would be interesting for you to write and other people to read! Mostly C: Information/Review Blog You are up-to-date and know about all the latest events and news. People might even call you a walking encyclopedia, since you are smart and love telling people random bits of information and facts. It would be ideal for you to start a blog where you can review the latest movies and books you’ve seen, so you can share your opinion and tell people facts, just make sure it excites them and doesn’t bore them. People who love reading and have similar interests to yours would like your blog. Have fun creating your blog!

Hey there readers! After reading my blog, I bet you wanted to create one too (hopefully, because writing a blog is fun!). This post will help YOU create a blog of your own! Step One: Decide a blog topic. The most important thing about a blog is a blog topic. Before you start, decide what you want to blog about. It could be about your travels or advice or on a particular topic or anything you want. My blog is about everything. Step Two: Find a website to create your blog. Of course you can create a html website, but using website such as Weebly which already have blog templates is much easier. I personally prefer Weebly, but you can use Wordpress or Edublogs. (This tutorial is for Weebly.) Step Three: Create a name and domain name for your blog. Think about your Blog topic and create a name and domain name (the website address that you put in the box at the top.) For example, if your name is Tia and you want to write about your travels, you could have the name TiaTravelsNow at www.tia-travels-now.com Step Four: Choose a template and start creating your website. There are dozens of cool templates and themes for you to try out on Weebly so choose one and start personalizing it according to your Blog Topic. (If you're using Weebly, visit Weebly.com and Create an account. Then press Create Site and follow the instructions. Then you get templates to choose from.) Step Five: Your First Blog Post. Now that you've created your website, Start your first post. You'll have to introduce yourself, Talk a little about your blog and why not add a picture? Make it so exciting that people will want to come again and again. Step Six: Keep on blogging when you can. Don't forget to blog! Make people like your blog a lot so they come back even if you didn't write for a long period of time. Tips! *A good idea is to write down your blog post ideas somewhere (I use Evernote, an app, on my tab) so you can use them when you are idealess. *Also write down posts on your computer so you can just copy and paste them to your blog if you're readers are hungry for more posts(I'll start doing that now!) *Go to the Contact tab on my blog and send me the link to your blog. If I really like it, I might write a post about my readers' blogs. And that's it, In 6 Simple Steps! |
