Hello there, fellow readers! I apologize for not being able to blog for almost an eternity! I've just been really busy but I have an awesome post for you guys to read. But first, let me take a selfie!
Selfies... have you ever realized how many selfies people take a day? Research shows that selfies are actually the worst! How many selfies do you take everyday? One thing is that people can find selfie extremely annoying. Would you like to hang out with someone who would whip out their phone every few seconds to take a selfie? Yeah, that's what I thought. People take selfies to brag and show off things like 'new designer clothes' or 'fabulous new shoes' . I would find that pretty annoying and if you do that, people wouldn't really like you much. So when taking selfies, it's better to stick with 'hanging out with my friends!' or something. Did you know that selfies are so very dangerous too? there was a schoolgirl called Isabella Fracchiolla who almost fell to her death on jagged rocks while taking a selfie. Next time you are posing for a silly selfie, make sure you watch where you are going... Have you ever realized that when people post all sorts of weird selfies on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and those other popular social media websites, it can be viewed by trillions of different people like friends, family, co-workers, teachers etc., and they all migh6 have different opinions about you by just looking at your selfies. You don't want to create a bad image for yourself, do you? Also, I'm not trying to offend selfies because I really like taking selfies too and they're cool. Anyway, Happy Holidays and I'll see you later!

You walk into a small place, kind of like a telephone booth. You type in the name of the place you want to go to and FLASH! You're instantly there!
Yeah, I know, it would be absolutely, fantastically, ecstatically amazing if that could happen. No more car accidents, plane crashes and etc., just a simple push of a button and you're where you want to be! This would seriously make a difference to the world. There will be less accidents and crashes because you don't have to worry about bad drivers or pilots, the machine does it all. It would also mean that people wouldn't have to pay for fuel and people can get jobs by working at the teleporting machine repair company, I guess... Just imagine. We wouldn't even need roads or traffic lights or anything! You just get whizzed automatically to your destination. The environment wouldn't get polluted and people won't get stuck in traffic jams! ULTIMATE! Not so fast though. Teleportation is scientifically not possible yet, but who knows what those outstanding scientists can discover!! I guess there are some negative points about it, but I can't think of any right now... Can you? if you can, just post it in the comments below! I hope you didn't mind that this was a super duper short post. :) Adios! I'll see you next time! Also, if you'd like to know when I post a new post, just scroll up and click the FOLLOW ME! tab. The instructions will guide you from there! :P Hi! I've recently entered a competition on Marina Home Star, a contest for kids aged 8-16. I wrote a little poem about what Home means to me. You should enter too, the categories are photography, art, creative writing and film-making. Please check out my entry by visiting the link below and be sure to like it if you enjoyed reading it. http://www.marinahomestar.com/posts/view/MH9978746996 Now, you may proceed to reading this post. We've all used it at least once. For communication, research, entertainment, whatever. But you have to agree, The Internet is very reliable. Imagine what you would do without computers, iPads, tablets, phones etc. for one day. It might seem easy but you actually use Internet a lot in your daily life. Email can really be a good way to keep in touch. Who sends letters by post these days? Quick, reliable and you can add attachments. You can have a pen pal or keep in touch with a friend or relative that lives on the other side of the world. Have you used Google Docs? It's an easy way to create a document that you can share with people. They can edit the document and you can see exactly who has done what with a colour-coded scheme. Amazing, don't you think? Whatsapp, Skype and Yahoo Messenger are ways you can communicate. Skype lets you video chat from any device. Whatsapp is the free, easier way to text your buddies. And then there's Google! You just couldn't survive with out it. Is there a question that Google CAN'T answer? Anyway, I hope you like the internet as much as I do and use it a lot. See you later! Have you been to a book fair? (If you live close to Sharjah, UAE, You can visit the one at Expo Center which is there till the 15th of November.) I have, recently, and it was AMAZING! You should have seen the commotion, that Thursday. Dozens of people scuttled about, carrying endless bags of fresh new books. There were stalls set up for UK/US Bestsellers, Wimpy Kid Books, Books from India, etc. When I bought a new book, I took a deep breath, smelling that musty, papery scent of a new book. Here are some of the books I bought. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul By Jeff Kinney Greg wants to spend his vacation lazing at home, but Mom insists that the family goes for a road trip. So the Heffleys pack up and hit the road. They meet endless adventures and problems along the way, but they make it to the end, somehow... (4 Stars) Anne of Green Gables By L. M. Montgomery Anne is an orphan, and she is simply delighted when she is adopted by the Cuthberts. But the Cuthberts wanted a boy to help out on the farm, can they keep this talkative, joyous red-headed girl? (Not finished reading, but so far, 4 & 1/2 Stars) Try reading these books, and let me know what you think about them! Until next time.... Hi! I know, I know. I didn't post for a really long time but I've just been really busy and I guarantee that this is going to be really interesting to read. Before I start, I have a few things to say. First, you might of noticed that I added a few pages to my blog hoping it will be more interesting to read and check out. Let me know what you think about it in the comments section. Second, the winner of the challenge this week is Anonymous. Congratulations Anonymous! I am going to stop doing challenges because I don't think a lot of people visit that page. No more challenges. Now, let's begin! Do you have an Apple or Android product? You might think that Android is better if you've only tried Android or you might think Apple is better because you've only tried Apple.
I've tried both products and I just can't decide which is better! There are pros and cons for each device platform so I decided to do a little research and write a whole blog post about it. Pollution, as you know, is a problem, quite a big problem. But what have you done to stop it? Nothing? Well, visit the following link. It's a cool website and I recommend that you check it out.
http://www.breathingearth.net/ If you look at the key, you will notice that when a country glows red, it is currently emitting 1000 tonnes of CO2. The ones that glow most frequently are America, China, Russia and India. Looking at the bottom right corner of the page, you see how many tonnes of Carbon Dioxide have been emitted since you have started watching. Just taking a look at that, you see that the world has been emitting a huge amount of CO2. What can you do to help? Lots of things! One little action that helps keep the environment clean can make quite a difference. So go and put that can in the recycling bin or join the neighbourhood environmental organization. Remember, every little thing that you do makes a difference. So make it a good difference. Look out for more pollution posts and a PPT on pollution that will be posted here. Who knows, maybe you could spot a pollution poem by me. If you have read yesterday's Gulf News, you might have spotted an article describing the 8 year-old Emirati boy, Ali Abdullah Hassan Al Ahbabi, who published a book, 'The Giraffe and the Dove.' The multi talented boy had written the narrative and had illustrated it, the drawings reflecting his story. Who knows, some day, you might be flipping through one of his best-selling novels. As I said in my previous post, all you need is Hard Work and to Believe in Yourself and you'll find that your dream comes true. And of course, patience. Without Patience, you won't accomplish anything. There are more famous accomplishers which include young Mozart who wrote an opera at the age of 14 or 20 year old Bill Gates who co-founded Microsoft. (Yes, 20 isn't very young, but still, it was a great thing for his age.) All these young accomplishers have done something in their life. Even if you are a bit old, it's never to late to achieve your dreams. If you want to do something astounding but never had the courage, this is your inspiration, YOUR CHANCE. Reach for your dreams. Young Bill Gates, the co-founder and owner of Microsoft, a company known by millions of people worldwide. 13 Year old Poorna has become the youngest girl to ever scale Mt. Everest, the highest peak in the world. If you haven't already read about this amazing feat in the news, this link will guide you to an article about this brave tribal girl who conquered Mt. Everest. http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/teen-from-andhra-pradesh-is-youngest-woman-to-conquer-mount-everest-530327 This just comes to show that youngsters can achieve great things with two key elements. Believing in yourself and hard work. There are many more young achievers such as Nadia Comaneci, the 14 year old gymnast who won 3 gold medals at the 1976 Summer Olympics or 13 Year old Anne Frank, whose diary was published and became an inspirational book. Watch out for more Young Achievers in my future blog posts who are outstanding in different fields such as Arts and Science etc. Anne Frank, Jewish 13 Year-Old whose diary became a fantastic Bestseller - The Diary of a Young Girl.
