*applause* Visit her super fantastic blog:- http://www.alittlebitofsunshineblog.com/ Hello readers of the Violet Blogger! I’m Noor from A Little Bit of Sunshine and I’m so happy to be here today on this fabulous blog! Today, I’m going to be sharing with you a little writing encouragement post. I am a writer, and I am currently during NaNoWrimo where you have to write 50,000 words in the month of November, which is a lot. I’m here to help motivate you to keep writing your story, even though you might hate it because “Best advice on writing I’ve ever received: FINISH.” -Peter Mayl. When I write, I get stuck. Like really stuck. And then I go back and look over my writing, and I loathe it. And I want to delete it all. That is a major don’t. Never ever look back on your writing unless you are editing. And don’t edit while you write, because that slows down the process, a lot. What you are writing may suck right now, but leave that for the editor you to worry about. The writer you needs to finish this book. Finishing a book is an amazing feeling. I’ve written a book. It was 30,000 words long and really bad but it was a book. You put your hard work and effort into that book, even if the plot is horrible. You created something, you worked hard enough and pushed yourself hard enough. That takes guts, that takes patience. You can learn from finishing a book and editing it. You can learn things you did wrong, for your next book. And don’t tell me there won’t be a next book, because there will be. Writing is a drug, it sucks you in and takes you to another world, you need it, once you start, you will never stop. But remember, don’t rush through your book. Take your time (unless you have to write 50,000 words in a month, then don’t take your time.), feel the passion in the book. If you don’t want to write, don’t write, because chances are your writing will not have that passion either. Think about what’s it going to feel like once you have finished that book, and how proud you’re going to feel. Think about how thrilled you’ll be when you type that last word, and close your computer, sighing in relief. Think about that, and then keep on writing, so you’ll be able to achieve that. I have no documents in my “Ditched” folder on my computer, and I’m proud of that. Every writer should aim for that, because it’s important. Keep writing everyone, I believe in you. ~Noor Thank you so much for the amazing post! :)
